Board games, video games, arcade classics, RPGs and unreleased soon-to-be favorites; Emerald City Comic Con’s Gaming area has it all! Explore a wide range of gaming goodness for all the family, or stay late into the evening, long after the main show floor and panels have ended for the day. Come out and play some games!

What’s happening?
The 2023 ECCC Indie Games Showcase
We’re thrilled to bring you demonstrations of some of the best new and soon-to-be-released video, mobile, board, card and roleplaying games from a variety of Pacific Northwest game designers. Demos will rotate every three hours all show long, so plan to visit often to try them all!

Plug in and power up; we’re offering free console gaming all weekend long! Whether you want to test your skills against a friend or go head to head in a king of the hill style tournament, there is plenty to do for gamers at the show!
From retro gaming to modern consoles, gamers of all types will have something to enjoy in the Gaming Zone. Best part? All you need is a badge to play all day long!
Artemis Space Bridge Simulator
Where? Level 4, Room 435
When? All weekend, but sign-ups are required. Stop by early to secure your spot!
Sign up to explore the galaxy! Sail through the stars, go on epic missions and try to survive in the Artemis Space Bridge Simulator. Teams should work together as Captain, Engineering, Weapons, Helm and other key stations in this networked starship simulation.
Also, participate in the Artemis augmented reality (AR) metagame! Look around the Gaming Area to find additional game information hidden in augmented reality posters to aid your team on your stellar quests.

Mystery Box Game Design Challenge

Stretch your creative muscles in the Mystery Box Game Design Challenge. Alongside game design professionals, work in teams of up to 5 to create a board game using only a box of mystery items. Stick around afterward to play and critique your fellow competitors’ creations! There will be prizes for the best game design! In the quiet village of Ravenswood Bluff a demon walks amongst you, murdering by night and disguised in human form by day. Will the good townsfolk put the puzzle together in time to execute the true demon, or will evil overrun this once peaceful village?
Blood on the Clocktower is a captivating and addictive new social bluffing game for those who delight in deduction and deception. Dead players are never eliminated, every player has a secret, players may enter a game after it starts, the Storyteller may give misinformation to players who are “drunk” or “poisoned”, while leading each game to a nail-biting outcome. No two games are the same and death is not the end!

Foulplay Games is a women-owned murder mystery games and events company based in Seattle, WA. Join Foulplay Games for a pop-up space western murder mystery game, WANDERSTAR! Visit the Doublestar Cantina in Lone Rock Port, a lawless port in the Outskirts of the Frontier Star System, where you will partake in 2 hours of mystery and intrigue to figure out whodunnit! Discover friends and rivals as you play a suspect with secrets of your own while bribing and blackmailing other con attendees to find clues and gather information to solve the crime! Miniatures and Wargaming
Minis Paint-and-Take hosted by Arcanum Miniatures

Learn to paint miniatures! Arcanum Miniatures returns to ECCC to teach you the basics of priming, applying base coats,dry brushing, using washes and other techniques. Tickets for each time block will run out, so come early to get your ticket and ensure you will be able to participate!
Planet 9 - A Victorian Science Fiction Miniatures Game

PNW local game designer Bruce Smith brings his custom miniatures game to play with ECCC fans.
It’s 1899, in the Age of Queen Victoria! Advances and innovations in science have increased the industrial and military might of many nations, and with them the need for exploring uncharted planets. With the discovery of Planet 9, two alliances have formed: The Eagle Alliance (France, German Empire, Boers and South Planet 9 allies) and the Tiger Alliance (British, Japanese, Pirate Empire and North Planet 9 allies). What side do you join?

Cleric Games returns to the PNW with some awesome Dungeons and Dragons Adventurers League content! A lot of things have changed in our world, and that includes Adventure League. We suggest familiarizing yourself with the updated rules. We will be running a variety of content for both new and old players, along with our trademark new player games. Featuring new Adventurers League content including a Saturday night Epic multi-table event, our DMs are excited to help you create new Emerald City Comic Con memories.
Classic and Modern RPGs

The Alexandria RPG Library will have hundreds of source books and modules from scores of tabletop RPG systems, available for you to browse through, or to use to run a session. They will be coordinating GMs to be on hand to introduce you to some of the greatest role playing games of the past 40 years.
Learn how to hire a team in Shadowrun, see if you can outwit Friend Computer in Paranoia, or have the arcane ways of THAC0 explained. All experience levels are welcome!
Gamemasters will be on hand to run adventures in a variety of classic and indie game systems, including Deadlands, Star Wars D6, Dungeon Crawl Classics, D&D 5E homebrew modules, and more classic and modern game systems.
Pathfinder Society Games

Join members of the Emerald City Lodge, as they lead you through the Pathfinder Society introductory "Bounty" Pathfinder 2nd Edition adventures. (simple, short, casual standalone adventures that last up to 2 hours), or modules from a selection of PF2 Adventures lasting approximately 5 hours. All games will also have walk-up seating available. Sign-ups daily in Room 429.

Amtgard Medieval/Fantasy Combat Sports and Recreation

ECCC is pleased to host Amtgard, a free-to-play world-wide organization dedicated to safe, inclusive, accessible medieval and fantasy combat sports and recreation, featuring a wide array of interests including combat, magic, role play, leadership, and various arts. Amtgard combat takes place using foam-padded replicas of medieval weapons, fantasy and historical clothing, and imagination to immerse players in a world of heroic combat, magic, monsters, quests, crafting, artistry, and more; to bring to life the tabletop or video game experience many are familiar with. Amtgard provides an atmosphere to allow you to role play to whatever extent you like.
Ages 14+ to fight (with parental permission). Combat not your thing? Not to worry, our membership includes some of the finest artisans, practiced in crafts such as maille, garbing, leatherwork, classical arts, weaving, and countless others.
