ReedPOP Announces Programming For Emerald City Comic Con At The Seattle Public Library

Special Programming Will Provide Platform to Connect Educators and Librarians with a Focus on Social Issues

NORWALK, CT (January 16, 2018) -- Today, ReedPOP, the world’s leading producer of pop culture events, announced a new partnership with The Seattle Public Library during the 16th annual Emerald City Comic Con, the premier comic book and pop culture convention in the Northwest taking place March 1 – 4, 2018.

On March 1, Emerald City Comic Con and The Seattle Public Library will host a number of panels geared towards professional librarians and educators. With a particular focus on social justice, cultural competency, and diversity, the program will take place at The Seattle Central Library at 1000 4th Ave. ECCC at The Seattle Public Library will feature panels from Boom! Studios, First Second Books, Valiant, Penguin Random House and The American Library Association. Additional panels and partners will be announced leading up to the show.

"Comics and pop culture can offer a fun and accessible entry point to literacy and learning, and we are very excited to see where these conversations take us."

An ECCC Professional Badge is required to attend ECCC at The Seattle Public Library. Professional Badges are free of charge to educators and librarians and are valid for all four days of ECCC.
