Cosplay Central is the place to be for anyone interested in cosplay! While you’re there, meet other cosplay enthusiasts at photo meetups from your favorite fandom, and utilize ECCC photo backdrops for some great pics. Whether you have been cosplaying for years or are interested in beginning now, there is something here for everyone! Attend interactive and in depth cosplay workshops for all levels to learn new techniques, connect with fellow cosplayers, and return to your everyday human cosplay using our cosplay changing rooms.

Cosplay Central Crown Championships 2024

The Cosplay Central Crown Championships is back for 2024! The global final will be held at C2E2 in 2025 and beyond.

Craftsmanship is still at the heart of this championship. All of the entries will have their costume construction closely inspected by our guest judges, before they take to the stage and show off their creations.  

Make sure to head to the Main Stage on Saturday Mar 2, 2024 , 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM, to see which of the incredible entries will claim victory and receive a cash prize and a trip to C2E2 in 2025 where they will compete against winners selected at Florida Supercon, NYCC and C2E2 compete against cosplayers from all over the world.

Meet our Guest Judges

Say No To Scrunchies Cosplay

Say No to Scrunchies cosplay is a multi-faceted designer and award-winning cosplayer. She is best known for her innovative use of materials and tight-budget competition pieces. She loves giving salvaged materials a new life through cosplay-turning an old chandelier into chest armor or soda bottles into mermaid scales. In fact, her mission is to make cosplay crafting more accessible through beginner workshops and panels promoting eco- and budget-friendly materials and processes.  

Dressesandcapes

Lauren, aka Dressesandcapes, is an award-winning cosplayer and content creator. She taught herself how to sew which led her to begin making her own cosplays and fashion. Her passion for sewing and creating led her to win several cosplay competitions, as well as work with major brands, like Joann’s, and be part of the first class of Disney Creators Lab. She also recently became an Ambassador for the sewing brand Bernette (a brand of Bernina Sewing Group). Her main goal is to inspire others to create for themselves, as we all have creativity inside us, she believes that sometimes you just need a little push. 

Oshley Cosplay

Oshley Cosplay is a Vancouver, Canada-based cosplayer who has been passionate about cosplay and prop creation since 2013. Oshley primarily specializes in Worbla thermoplastic and foam fabrication, and she has experience with a variety of techniques and mediums, from large wings and LED circuitry to resin gem casting and sewing. Her goal with every cosplay is to learn something new, while refining her large armour making techniques which have gained her a reputation for meticulous craftsmanship within the cosplay community. 

Cosplay Central Costume Showcase

The Cosplay Showcase is where fans and cosplayers can showcase their craftsmanship in style. This event is open to all cosplayers and is an opportunity for fans of all levels to strut their stuff in their costumes onstage. The Cosplay Showcase will take place on Sunday. There will be prizes awarded but cosplayers are free to take part just for fun if they do not wish to be judged. Family Groups and Juniors are welcome to take part.

Sign up to take part during the show at the Cosplay Admin desk inside of Cosplay Central. Places are limited so visit us as early as you can to secure a space, be sure to check the Emerald City Comic Con application in order to check the times in which the . On the day registration will close at 1:00pm

Cosplay Repair 

Wardrobe malfunctions are a common occurrence while cosplaying, and the last you think you want is to have a piece of your cosplay flapping around throughout the weekend! If something breaks, tears, rips, or falls off, bring it to cosplay repair, located in Cosplay Central! Experts are on deck with tools, techniques, and the experience needed to repair your cosplay and get you back out to enjoy the show. 

 Don’t worry superhero, we’ve got you covered – this is completely complimentary.
