Welcome to Family HQ your place for family friendly fun all weekend long at Emerald City Comic Con! Is your child star struck over Star Wars? Are they an amateur artist or wee wizard? Then Family HQ is the place for you! In Family HQ, we have something for everyone. Kids and parents alike can join in our drawing workshops, interactive activities, and entertaining performances. Looking for fun for the whole family? Then bring them out to Family HQ!

Family HQ is located at the TCC Skagit Lower Level.

Play Along in Our Interactive Zone

Life's way more fun when you play along! In our Interactive Zone awesome activities await. Family games, performances, story time, photo opportunities, kids cosplay showcases and so much more. There’s always something happening in Family HQ! 

Drawing Demos and Workshops

Let kids explore their artistic side early with professionals from our very own Artist Alley! Some of the creators who have made art their livelihood will join us in Family HQ to walk kids through some great drawing demonstrations and tutorials.

Free Play Area

Sometimes kids just need a place where they can be kids! That’s where the Free Play Area comes in. We have coloring pages, giant connect four, and giant Jenga to let your child’s imagination run wild and maybe make some new friends!

Oom Yung Doe

Oom Yung Doe Northwest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Traditional Martial Arts school with locations in Kirkland and Lake City. Our mission is to bring health and wellness to our community through Traditional Martial Arts training. In addition to developing self-defense ability, Traditional Martial Arts helps practitioners attain longevity and maintain a superb quality of life by achieving harmony of the mind, body, and spirit. 

Martial Arts for Kids

Bring the kids to the Emerald City Comic Con Family HQ for some martial arts fun! Kids will learn some basic martial arts moves like punching and forward rolls in a safe environment, and will play fun physical games. Lessons will last up to one hour. Ages 4 and up.
